Use of a questoin tone

Upward inflections facilitate usage and habituatoin of a higher pitched voice.

Read the above using an upward inflectoin.

Have him prolong the final sound in each word for several seconds. This production will most likely higher pitch than habitually produced. The client shud then attempt to produce the vowel /a/ at the higher level. Other vowels shud be subsstituted including the /ʌ/ and /ɛ/ until the client feels confident in his ability to produce a higher pitch on command. Nonsense syllables, words, and senses shud be practticed at the higher pitch level with the pathologist servin as a model if necessary.
