Three syllable words, loan word phonology

In Eng, two kinds of pronunciations are possible for any three syllable word: SUU and USU, where U and S denote unstressed and stressed syllables.

Stress attracts onset and coda consonants, thereby affects adjacent syllables.

In this post, the focus is on -a-a/e-a words.

SUU variety:

Canada
Panama
Tamara
Cabala, Jewish th
Camera
Pamela

USU variety:

banana
Havana, Cuba
Sahara
bandana
Amanda
