disappearing syllables

From Paul Gruber:

"In American English, the following words have a disappearing syllable:

interesting - pronounced: INtristing

temperature - pronounced: TEMpiture

restaurant - pronounced: REStrant

business - pronounced: BIZnis"

In temperature, you notice a r-dissimilation: thats why you dont hear TEMPriture, instead you hear TEMPiture (my remark, tho)
