assimilation of /d/ to any consonant but sibilant

"This is not really specifically palatalization, but rather assimilation of /d/ to just about any other consonant that follows it other than a sibilant. Compare with vodka [ˈvaːkːə(ː)], red pill [ˌʁɜːˈpʰːɪ(ː)ɯ̯], adventure [ɛ̞ːˈvːɜ̃tʃʁ̩(ː)], good night [ˌgʊːˈnːə̆ĕ̯ʔ(t)], badminton [b̥ɛ̞ːˈmːɪ̃ʔn̩(ː)], sadly [ˈsɛ̞ːʟ̞ːi(ː)], federal [ˈfɜːʁːɯ(ː)], and midway [ˈmɪːwːe(ː)]. Note that with all of these, the assimilation is not obligatory, and such without it can be easily attested. (Note that /t/ behaves similarly, but it does not as widely assimilate, and when it does assimilate it leaves behind preglottalization, rather than assimilating completely.)"
